Position:

The Department of Economics welcomes applications for a new or senior Assistant Professor level to start in Fall, 2020 from those doing research in applied empirical microeconomics including, among other possible specialties, Public Economics and Industrial Organization.  

Duties for the tenure-track position entail actively publishing in peer reviewed journals along with teaching courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels in applied empirical micro-economics. The successful candidate will also display dedication to inclusive excellence in higher education. While teaching will be focused in the Department of Economics, the successful candidate for this position will have opportunities to participate in teaching and dissertation advising in UMBC’s School of Public Policy.
