The Department of Economics welcomes applications for an open rank professor to start in Fall 2025 in the field of the economics of cybersecurity, broadly defined. Researchers with interests in topics such as the economics of privacy, the economics of digitization and online marketplaces, law and economics, or cybersecurity applied to specific settings such as the financial or health sector are encouraged to apply. This position is part of a multi-year, campus-wide, and state-supported hiring initiative to develop the UMBC Cybersecurity Institute (UCI).
