Tenure Track Assistant Professor - Acquatic Disease Virology/Microbiology	Greater Baltimore Area	Open Until Filled
The Department of Marine Biotechnology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks to fill a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting Fall 2027. The successful applicants' research should use molecular biology/genetics approaches to study virology and/or microbiology linked to diseases of importance in finfish aquaculture and may address some or all of the following focus areas: host-pathogen interactions, immunology, and disease prevention and treatment, including vaccine development and pathogen diagnostics. The position is well suited for a research focus relevant to aquaculture technology such as recirculating aquaculture, precision aquaculture, incorporating stress diagnostics, disease-stress interactions, and probiotic strategies.
