Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Statistics UMBC Campus Open Until Filled
Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in Statistics, beginning in fall 2026, preferably with an interest or focus on statistical foundations of data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, theoretical statistics and probability, uncertainty quantification, or computational statistics. The appointment is for a fixed term, but renewable upon satisfactory performance and funding availability. Candidates should have finished their Ph.D. in statistics, biostatistics, machine learning, or a related field before their appointment start date. Successful candidates are expected to conduct research, collaborate with faculty members, and apply for external funding. An option for teaching classes in addition to the abe responsibilities also exists.
Assistant Teaching Professor - General Chemistry UMBC Campus Open Until Filled
The successful candidate for this position will direct the active learning-based Chemistry Discovery Center, guiding students and learning assistants while coordinating with the General Chemistry Lecturers to reinforce topics covered. Responsibilities will include: identifying potential learning assistants, organizing Discovery sessions, and evaluating student learning. In addition, this individual will also serve as a lecturer for various Introductory Chemistry courses.
Assistant Teaching Professor - Organic Chemistry UMBC Campus Open Until Filled
The successful candidate for this position will teach undergraduate organic chemistry laboratory and lecture courses, guiding students and learning assistants while coordinating with the other Organic Chemistry Instructors to reinforce topics covered. Responsibilities will include: supervision and instruction of Organic Chemistry labs and lectures, supervision and training of laboratory teaching assistants, and evaluating student learning. In addition, this individual will also serve as a lecturer for various Organic Chemistry courses and potentially General Chemistry courses.

Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry UMBC Campus Open Until Filled
THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY AND BIOCHEMISTRY AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND, BALTIMORE COUNTY (UMBC) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry. Applicants are expected to establish a vigorous and externally funded research program in the broadly defined areas of Physical Chemistry and optical spectroscopy with particular interests in ultrafast spectroscopy, photochemistry and/or quantum optics.
