The Economics Department is seeking a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor of Accounting to teach Accounting Principles I and II. Some teaching of upper level courses in accounting may also be assigned. Homework and some testing is done through accounting software. The current software being used is MyAccountingLab. The instructor reports to the Director. Duties include in-class delivery of lectures, grading and availability to students through limited office hours. Student advising and outreach to prospective employers is also expected.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An active CPA license is necessary. A CMA license is desirable. A Master’s degree in Accounting or Business is also required. Teaching experience is desirable. Experience with educational accounting software is desirable. Candidate should have strong verbal communication skills.

Salary Range: $50,000 to $70,000 commensurate with experience
